This family favorite, Peanut Butter Bars, is an oft-requested sweet treat when the kids come home to visit.
I grew up with these. Although my sisters all preferred another peanut buttery bar my mother often made. This one though, along with my other favorite Mud Balls, reminds me of home and makes my mouth water! (Can you see I have an obsession with chocolate and peanut butter?)
It’s an easy recipe. No baking. The hardest part is having to wait for the bars to set. And the best outcome is to let them sit at room temperature until the chocolate is set. This makes for the easiest cutting and the most enjoyable eating. However, if you can’t wait that long, pop the pan into the fridge for 30-45 minutes.
Peanut Butter Bars is a great recipe for a holiday party finger food. You could also include them on your holiday treat giveaways! Just cut them smaller for these purposes so they’ll go farther.
