An easy mix to have on hand, this Dill Ranch Dressing Mix is a tasty condiment!

This recipe for Dill Ranch Dressing Mix comes from BYU Aspen Grove Family Camp.  We fell in love with their ranch dressing on one of our many trips there for family reunions.  Families, during the summer camp weeks, eat cafeteria style in a large lodge.  And I think we put ranch on everything but dessert!

I’ve been making up this mix every few weeks for years and am totally spoiled by homemade dressing at this point.  Whenever I run out and have to use a certain name brand (I have one child who insists on using this) I just get a little squeamish.  Just not nearly as good to me.

You can throw in different ingredients if you’d like to change it up a bit (but I like my plain ol’ ranch).  Toss in some Parmesan or Romano cheese.  Add 4 Tbsp. of Dijon and a little honey for a Dijon Ranch.  Add a touch of your favorite barbecue sauce.  Or add salsa and cumin to make a southwestern style ranch.

Whatever style you choose, I think you’ll find that this levels up your salad or whatever you’re pouring it on.  I think breadsticks dipped in this stuff would be amazing!

Dill Ranch Dressing Mix

Dill Ranch Dressing Mix

  • Yield: 1.75 quarts dressing 1x

Description

Dill Ranch Dressing Mix is easy to prep and have ready, and you’ll love the touch of dill in it!

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1/4 cup ground black pepper
  • 1 1/2 cups dried parsley flakes
  • 3 Tbsp. kosher salt
  • 6 Tbsp. garlic powder
  • 3/4 cup onion powder
  • 2 Tbsp. dried dill weed

Instructions

Mix all together in a bowl. Store in an airtight container.

For dip, combine 1 cup mayo and 1 cup sour cream and mix in 2-3 Tbsp. of mix. Stir well and chill till ready to serve.

For dressing, you can water down the dip (which is what I often do) to the desired consistency. OR you can mix 2 Tbsp. of the mix with: 2 cups mayo, 2 cups buttermilk, and 1 tsp. lemon juice. Mix well and chill for 2 hours.
