This simple pizza crust recipe is easy to put together and makes a delicious canvas for your pizza creations!
I’ve had this recipe for years, ever since my mother-in-law gave me my first ever stand mixer. This simple pizza crust recipe was in the recipe booklet that came with my red Kitchen Aid mixer. It’s super simple, yes, but it’s a great staple recipe.
I like to cook my crust on a pizza stone, but I always forget to let the stone warm up first. I’ve heard that this is a pizza secret! So, someone try it and let me know if it’s true! Personally, I prefer to bake this simple pizza crust for a few minutes without any toppings. I just drizzle a tiny bit of really good quality olive oil, and sprinkle with whatever seasonings I want (salt, garlic powder, pepper, etc.).
Use whatever toppings float your boat! Traditional pizza sauce, shredded mozzarella, and pepperoni is a favorite in our family. But I also love using Alfredo sauce, chicken, spinach, and basil for a non-conformist white pizza. Get creative and use whatever your family loves.
Need some ideas? How about:
- ham and pineapple
- bacon and shrimp
- barbecue sauce and chicken
- taco toppings
- chicken fajita
- kale, ricotta, and sausage
- garlic and ranch
- breakfast pizza with cheddar, eggs, sausage bacon
- mushroom and olive
- bacon cheeseburger style
- spinach, olives, feta, peppers
- Gorgonzola, Asiago, mozzarella, Pecorino, basil
- meatball
- grilled chicken, pesto, mozzarella
I usually only make one crust, but this recipe doubles easily. Pair your pizza with a nice salad for a complete meal.
