Description
This simple pizza crust recipe is easy to put together and makes a delicious canvas for your pizza creations!

- 2 1/4 tsp. yeast
- 1 cup warm water
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 2 tsp. olive oil
- 2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour;
- up to 1 cup additional flour
- cornmeal
Instructions
- Dissolve yeast in warm water in mixer bowl of stand mixer.
- Add the salt, olive oil, and 2 1/2 cups flour. Mix in the stand mixer for one minute (using dough hook).
- Add remaining flour until a little at a time until the dough forms a ball and starts to clean the side of the bowl.
- Place in a greased bowl, cover, and let rise in a warm place for one hour.
- Punch down dough. Preheat oven to 450 degrees.
- If using a pizza stone, roll out the dough onto a very lightly floured surface. Sprinkle the stone evenly with cornmeal and place dough on stone.
- If using metal pizza pan, do the same thing but spray the pan with cooking spray before sprinkling cornmeal.
- Pre-bake: drizzle with a bit of olive oil and seasoning and bake for 5 minutes.
- Top with sauces and toppings, then bake for 10-15 minutes until it looks amazing!
