You don’t have to be “keto” to enjoy this sugarless Keto Strawberry Jam!
My specific health situation requires that I be more low carb. So right now, I’m keto. Once my body has been adapted to that for a while I’ll be adding in a few healthy carbs, but I’ll likely remain low carb for the rest of my life.
So, it’s important for me to find recipes that will help me maintain a low carb lifestyle. And while I rarely eat bread (I try to find good keto or low carb options), it’s nice to have something fun to enjoy it with. (Read: I have to find things to disguise how gross most low carb breads are.)
Admittedly, this was not a hit with my twelve year old son. We’ve been trying to get him on a diet that is way lower in sugar and grains for his own health issues. He requested that I find a keto strawberry jam recipe, so this was for him. Not a hit.
With him.
However, I really like it. It tastes very fresh and clean to me and reminds me of summer. I can’t wait to try it with some natural peanut butter or almond butter!
You can use any sugar substitute that you would like, but I find that the powdered Swerve is really good. Whatever you choose, just make sure that you check online for equivalent measures. Some non-caloric sweeteners are “sweeter” than others and you may need to use less. Glucomannan is a thickener. Some stores may carry this, but I got mine on Amazon.
If you’re lucky enough to be able to handle gluten, try putting some of this jam on some delicious hot rolls!

Keto Strawberry Jam
Description
You don’t have to be “keto” to enjoy this sugarless Keto Strawberry Jam!
Ingredients
- 6 cups freeze dried strawberries plus 1 1/2 cups water
OR
- 2 pounds fresh strawberries (cut off stems and remove hulls)
- 1/2 cup powdered erythritol (I use Swerve brand)
- 1 tsp. lemon juice
- 1 tsp. glucomannan
Instructions
- If using freeze dried berries, allow the fruit to refresh with the water in a bowl for 10 minutes, stirring and crushing often.
- Place berries in a medium saucepan. (Use a potato masher to break up fresh strawberries.)
- Cook over medium-low heat for 5-10 minutes or until soft. It should be juicy and the berry pieces should be small.
- Add remaining ingredients and stir well.
- Spoon into an airtight container and chill in the fridge. Jam will thicken as it cools.
