Overnight Fruit & Nut Refrigerator Oatmeal

Description

A cool breakfast in a jar! How yummy and so convenient.


Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup quick oats
  • 2 cups milk
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 teaspoon almond extract
  • 2 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • pinch of salt
  • 6-oz. package of fresh raspberries (or fruit of choice), chop if berries are large
  • 2 tablespoons sliced almonds (or nuts of choice)

Instructions

  1. In a medium bowl, mix together the oats, milk, flavorings, brown sugar, cinnamon, and salt.
  2. Fold in the raspberries, then divide evenly into containers of choice. I used the 5-oz. glass Yoplait Ouí “pots”.
  3. Refrigerate overnight. Top with nuts before serving cold.
