Description
Parmesan & Basil Biscuits are something a little off the biscuit beaten path but they are pretty tasty, served with basil butter, of course.
Ingredients

- 2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/4 cup shredded Parmesan cheese
- 2 tablespoons minced fresh basil
- 2 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon pepper
- 1 cup buttermilk
- 3 tablespoons olive oil
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 400° F.
- Combine first 7 ingredients in a large bowl. Stir in buttermilk and oil just until moistened.
- Turn onto a lightly floured surface and gently knead 3 times. Roll out dough to 1/2-inch thickness. Cut with a 2 1/2-inch biscuit cutter and Place 1 inch apart on an ungreased baking sheet.
- Bake for 16-18 minutes or until lightly browned. Serve warm.
