Description
A delicious layered sandwich, reminiscent of a diner lunch in the 60’s.
Ingredients

- 3 slices of sandwich bread, toasted
- 3–4 slices bacon, cooked
- 1 or 2 leaves of iceberg lettuce
- 2 or 3 slices tomato
- 2 slices deli turkey
- slice of cheese (provolone or swiss would work well)
- mustard
- mayonnaise
Instructions
- Toast bread slices.
- Mix mayonnaise and mustard together, to desired taste, and spread on one side of two bread slices and both sides of 3rd slice (this will be your middle slice).
- Build sandwich starting with one slice of bread, followed by your other ingredients, to preference, but be sure to put the middle slice in between.
- After putting on top slice, press down gently and cut into 4 diagonal quarters. Place a toothpick into each quarter to keep sandwich together. Be sure and tell your family about those toothpicks! They are not an ingredient. Trust me on that.
- Serve with chips or fruit.
