Pecan Chew Bread


Description

A chewy, delicious pecan-filled dessert that you will have to hide if you want leftovers.


Ingredients

  • 2 cups pecans, finely chopped
  • 1 1/2 cups self-rising flour
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 4 large eggs, beaten
  • 1 cup vegetable oil
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350° F. Lightly grease a 9×13 baking dish with butter or non-stick spray.
  2. In a large bowl, stir together sugars, eggs and oil until fully combined.
  3. Stir in flour and salt, then mix in vanilla, and fold in pecans.
  4. Pour batter into the greased dish. Bake for 30-35 minutes, or until toothpick inserted in center comes out mostly clean.
  5. Remove dish from oven and let cool about 15 minutes before serving.
