Description
Not your typical lasagna, but you will love all the crusty, cheesy yumminess of this dish that features refrigerated crescent rolls.

- 1/2 lb. Italian sausage
- 1/2 lb. ground beef
- 3/4 cup chopped onions
- 1 clove garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon dried parsley
- 1/2 teaspoon dried oregano
- 1/2 teaspoon basil
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 2 (6-oz. each) cans tomato paste
- 1 cup small curd cottage cheese
- 1 egg;1/4 cup finely shredded Parmesan cheese
- 2 cups shredded Mozzarella cheese
- 2 cans refrigerated crescent rolls
Instructions
- Brown sausage and ground beef together. Add onions, garlic, parsley, oregano, basil, salt, pepper and tomato paste. Cook for about 5 minutes until heated through. Set aside.
- Mix together the cottage cheese, egg, and Parmesan and set aside.
- On a cookie sheet or jelly roll pan form one large crust with the crescent roll dough to make a rectangular shaped crust, pressing edges together.
- Layer meat and cheese mixtures down the center of the crust. Top with Mozzarella cheese and more Parmesan, if desired.;Fold sides and ends of dough over the filling.
- Bake at 375 degrees F. for about 25 minutes or until browned.
- May be prepared ahead and refrigerated for 2-3 hours before baking.
